There’s a lot of weirdness in the world. The fact that the Flinstones celebrated Christmas, for instance. Or passion flowers. Those things are bizarre.
Sometimes, though, you’ll find something that’s just weird enough to be really awesome, like cheddar cheese on apple pie or the amazingly cheery work of Naoshi, a Yokohama-based artist who uses only brightly-colored sand as her medium. You can watch the mesmerizing process below:

I honor bacon at least once a week, but I’ll take any excuse to commemorate its amazingness more frequently. Well, we’re in luck, because tomorrow is Bacon Day! While you’re out celebrating the gateway meat this weekend, think about bringing some of these tasty treats with you, since there’s nothing worse than forgetting to BYOB on September 3rd!
Bacon really brightens up a room, so you’re going to want to get your hands on a few of these sizzling items. I’m still in a bit of denial about September starting tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong, I adore the sights and smells of Autumn, but I’m just not ready to let go of the summer sun, the season’s fresh berries and trips to the Farmers’ Market.
I have, however, found a delightful way to grab hold of the beauty of that lively place and share it with someone else—year round if I choose—with these wonderful Farmers’ Market cards by Yee-Haw Industries.
